The Recorder: Europe’s Richman, Poorman, Beggarman or Thief?
During its long and varied history as an instrument played at Royal Courts as well as in popular domestic music making, the recorder has been associated with the characteristics of all of the above. This special quartet programme includes works by Senfl, Telemann and Frescobaldi.
