'Musical Bridge' Charity Concert in aid of Burma The aim is to raise awareness of
Burma and its issues in a purely musical way by playing some newly-composed
classical/contemporary pieces inspired by or based on the
original traditional Burmese songs of the 50s and 60s, a period
which witnessed a very high level of creativity amongst Burmese
composers and musicians.
It's a chamber music evening featuring well known musicians such
as Ruth Rogers of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Consortium5
(recorder quintet) and a string quartet and other ensembles comprising
young professionals from RAM and RCM, all performing
pieces composed and/or arranged by four established composers
