Consortium5 returned to one of our favourite and most intriguing venues, the Colourscape tent, situated this time on Clapham Common. This madly colourful labyrinth provides a wonderful setting to experience music, both old and new, in a fun and immersive environment.
This time we were particularly excited to be joined by children from the local primary school to perform a site specific composition by Colourscape director and composer Simon Desorgher. Simon created a special set of scores all hidden in the tents maze of tunnels. Each group set out on a unique journey to find and each segment of music. Not only were we looking for music,we also has special music to play while we moved through the tent. This piece definitely needed an unusual set rehearsals beforehand!
It’s always great to be back in a space that gives us the chance to explore lots of improvisation alongside our current repertoire. We highly recommend making a beeline for it when it turns up in your area.
