Cardiff UnversityConsortium5 had a great time at Cardiff University on Tuesday, 12 November 2013, performing alongside Kate Macoboy (soprano) and Adrian Horsewood (baritone).  The group were also delighted to welcome recorder player Robert Du Bree making a great impression on his first performance with the ensemble.

This programme featured an exquisite new work by Robert  Fokkens on the theme of Pentecost, alongside a setting of the William Byrd Mass, Christopher Tye In Nomines, Tomas Luis de Victoria Marian Motets, L’Envoi by Cevanne Horrocks-Hopayian (2013) and Luke Styles A Stratagem for Light (2011).

The next day Gail, Kathryn and Oonagh returned to the music department to work with the postgraduate composition students on trios they had written especially for the workshop.  Many interesting pieces were certainly taking shape as the group worked through a whole array of extended techniques.
Many thanks to Cardiff University for the warm welcome and kind hospitality.
